Creating new things is always fun and if the results are good, a very rewarding challenge. Here's 2 projects, that go back to my childhood, and remind me of my younger days, involved with horses and all that went along with them.I can probably "boast", this is the only Cinderella Coach, like this, in the world. It is completely made of fabric, with the exception of the suspension, axles and wheels. The suspension is molded clay over heavy armature wire, painted, and decorated with stems and silk roses..Axles are wood and the wheels are hand painted white and gold with fancy brass findings. The body is ivory panne' velvet, each section is puffy and fancy trimmed. The crown on top is handmade of fancy trims, gems and micro beads. The top is laden with silk stems and silk roses. It is magical! As much time was spent on the inside. The door opens to reveal pink satin, hand tufted walls with a circular seat in plum velvet, also tufted. There is a light inside and can be used for a very cool nite light. The bulb is replaceable.
This view is from the top, and you can see all the florals that decorate it.
This is the back view, showing the florals..It measures 6" wide, x 10" long x 8" high.. A true one of a kind piece, by the only person, I know, crazy enough to attempt it.. It is very unique! ...$199.00
The two seater surrey with the fringe on top! I upholstered the seats in a rich burgandy, darker than pictured. Also the fringe is a burgundy. Black Laquer paint, painted wheels. The corners of the seats, could have been better finished with a thinner fabric, but the rich velvet is very complimenary to the period. The gray stands out and gives a good perspective of the size.. This would be darling with a driver and fancy lady in the back, out for a sunday drive.. Size is 6 wide x 14 long x 8 tall.... $145.00
